A sea safari is a slow day in the Sea of Cortez: along the coast of the island, then out where the channel opens up. Yoni goes where the water is working, and the day takes the shape the sea gives it.
HOW THE DAY IS PUT TOGETHER
Yoni plans the day around the wind and the water. Where you head, how long you stay and when you move on is decided by the sea that morning, not by a plan written in advance.
WHO IT IS FOR
Anyone who wants a day at sea: families, friends, people who have never been on a boat. There is nothing to know beforehand and nothing to carry.
THE BOAT
Nubia 2, a panga that works this stretch of the Sea of Cortez every week. The day is private: the boat is yours alone, no shared groups.
WHAT YOU MIGHT SEE
Mobula rays, dolphins, sea lions, whales and, in the right season, orcas. What you actually see is decided by the season and by the water on the day. None of it is promised.
WHERE YOU MEET
La Ventana, Baja California Sur, on the channel facing Isla Cerralvo. The boat leaves from La Ventana, not from La Paz.
