Sportfishing days are spent trolling and casting the deep water off La Ventana, where the Sea of Cortez runs past the island. Yoni works the water he has fished his whole life, and the day takes the shape the sea gives it.
HOW THE DAY IS PUT TOGETHER
Yoni decides the plan on the morning, from the wind, the bait and what the water has been doing. Trolling, casting or working a spot: whichever the day calls for is the one you do.

THE BOAT
Nubia 2, a panga that works this stretch of the Sea of Cortez every week. The day is private: the boat is yours alone, no shared groups.
WHAT YOU CAN MEET OUT THERE
Billfish, open-water hunters and reef fish share the same stretch of the Sea of Cortez. What comes up is decided by the water on the day. No catch is promised.

La Ventana, Baja California Sur, on the channel facing Isla Cerralvo. The boat leaves from La Ventana, not from La Paz.
